Tanjore paintings have their origins in South India. The paintings are furnished with semi-precious stones, trimmed with 22 carat gold plates. Most of the tanjore paintings explored in Tanjore art include Gods and Goddesses while birds, flowers and animals are other recurring themes.

The Tanjore paintings are intricately hand-crafted  using classical techniques and the prettiness of this art lies in the fact that the glow and gleam of the gold leaves used in these artworks last forever.

About Lord Balaji

Lord Balaji, also called Lord Venkateshwara, Srinivasa, Ezhumalaiyan, Venkata Ramana, Govinda, Perumal, Thirumal, Malaiyappa Swamy, and much more, affiliated with Maha Vishnu. He is the supreme being of Tirumala Venkateswara Temple, which is well-established in Tirupati, India.

Lord Balaji often destroys the sins of the people and appears in Kali Yuga to rescue the people. That is, Lord Vishnu personified as Venkateshwara in love for the sake of his devotees.

At the end of Kaliyuga, Lord Vishnu destroys everything on earth and forms a new Yuga by taking birth as Kalki. It happens when sin reaches its peak, and no humanity left. And so, he is known as Kaliyuga Pratyaksha Daivam.

Narada played his usual game and told Rishi Bhrigu to examine all the three gods for the fruits of Yagya. Rishi proceeded with all the three, and unfortunately, no one noticed. It made him angry and kicked with his foot on Lord Vishnu's chest. Instead of anger, Lord Vishnu caressed the legs of Rishi. Maharishi realized and dedicated the fruits to Lord Vishnu.

Lakshmi expected Lord Vishnu to punish Rishi for this, but he didn't. So, she left Vaikuntha in anger and came to earth. Sadly, Lord Vishnu went in search of her. But, not able to find her and so lived in Venkatadri. Later, Lord Shiva and Brahma turned as a cow and a calf to convince Lakshmi. Lakshmi gave cow and calf to Chola kings, and he sent them to Venkatadri for grazing. Daily, the cow ate the grass and cleared her udder for nurturing Vishnu. The cowherd saw these and threw his axe to beat the cow. But, Lord Vishnu saved them.

Lord Vishnu cursed the Chola king for his servant, but he requested his impeccability. Vishnu told him that the king would be born as Akasa Raja in his next birth. The curse ended in the grand wedding of Akasa Rajan's daughter Padmavati with Vishnu.

Meanwhile, Lakshmi came to know about his remarriage, and when Vishnu saw Lakshmi and Padmavati unitedly, he turned as a rock statue. Later, Lord Shiva and Lord Brahma explained that this avatar is for saving the world. So, Lakshmi on the left and Padvamati on the right turned themselves into a statue.
